8:54 a.m. --The Giants signed veteranLB Jonas GriffithandWR Juice Wells Jr.to the practice squad. Griffith has played all 22 of his games (12 starts) with the Broncos, whom the Giants face this Sunday in Denver. He has not played in a regular-season game since Nov. 13, 2022, when he suffered a season-ending ankle injury. Griffith then tore his ACL twice. Wells spent the offseason with the Giants as an undrafted rookie from Ole Miss, where he caught passes fromQB Jaxson Dart, but was waived Aug. 26. Wells ranked third in the SEC, seventh nationally, with 19.8 yards per reception in his final collegiate season. He caught four passes for 24 yards in three preseason games.

7:03 a.m. --RBCam Skattebowas nominated for theFedEx Air & Ground Player of the Week Award.The rookie carried the ball 19 times for 98 yards and three touchdowns in the Giants' Week 6 victory over the Eagles, while adding two receptions for an additional 12 yards. Skattebo became the second rookie running back in franchise history to rush for three touchdowns in a game, joining Charlie Evans, who did it against the San Diego Chargers in 1971. Skattebo is the first rookie running back in the NFL to rush for three scores in a game since Washington's Antonio Gibson did so in 2020.
