New England Patriots linebacker Matthew Judon is slated for surgery to repair his torn right biceps on Wednesday, ESPN reported.
It is unclear whether he will return to the field in 2023.
Judon was injured in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 38-3 blowout loss to the Dallas Cowboys. The injury occurred when Judon attempted to tackle running back Deuce Vaughn.
In four games this season, Judon has 13 tackles and four sacks.
A four-time Pro Bowl selection, Judon is in his third season with the Patriots after spending five with the Baltimore Ravens. He posted a career-high 15.5 sacks in 2022.
The New Orleans Saints (2-2) visit the Patriots (1-3) on Sunday.
