The Houston Outlaws announced Monday that they have acquired 2021 Rookie of the Year Se-hyun "Pelican" Oh from the Atlanta Reign, pending Overwatch League approval.

The trade was technically a buyout agreement, as no other players were involved in the transaction.

Pelican, a DPS who hails from South Korea, contributed heavily to Atlanta's run to a Grand Finals appearance last season. Previously, he was a member of O2 Blast, a South Korean team, that finished first during the Contenders Season 1: Korea competition.

In August, Pelican suffered a collapsed lung, but he rallied to compete for the Reign in the Countdown Cup and later in the OWL playoffs.

He'll be joined on the Outlaws roster by returning players DPS Dante "Danteh" Cruz and off-tank Shin "Piggy" Min-jun as well as player coach/flex Jacob "JAKE" Lyon and head coach Jaewon "Junkbuck" Choi.
