Chuck Harris scored 20 points and host Butler upset No. 8 Villanova 73-61 in Big East action Sunday in Indianapolis.
Jair Bolden scored 15 points and Bryce Nze posted his second consecutive double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Bryce Golden added 13 points for the Bulldogs (9-13, 8-11).
Jeremiah Robinson-Earl led Villanova with 16 points and 16 rebounds. Collin Gillespie added 14 points while Justin Moore and Caleb Daniels had 10 each for the Wildcats (15-4, 10-3), who had a two-game winning streak snapped.
Villanova shot just 7.4 percent (2 of 27) from 3-point range, including 14 consecutive misses to finish the game. The Bulldogs shot 50 percent for the game and 41.7 percent (10 of 24) from behind the arc.

Luka Garza and Joe Wieskamp combined for 43 points as the Hawkeyes defeated the struggling Buckeyes in Columbus, Ohio.
Garza had 24 points and Wieskamp 19 as the Hawkeyes (18-7, 12-6 Big Ten) withstood an early second-half surge by the Buckeyes (18-7, 12-7), who have lost three straight. Jordan Bohannon (615) had five assists to surpass Jeff Horner (612) for the most in Iowa history.
E.J. Liddell led Ohio State with 15 points and Justice Sueing added 12.
No. 12 Houston 98, South Florida 52
Quentin Grimes and DeJon Jarreau co-authored a dominating performance as the host Cougars turned an extended first-half run into a victory over the Bulls.
Grimes scored 22 points -- all in the first half. Jarreau added 16 points, eight rebounds and six assists for No. 12 Houston (20-3, 13-3 American). Jarreau scored eight points to carry Houston to a 15-6 lead by the first media timeout before Grimes scored 11 consecutive points for the Cougars as part of a 26-0 run.
Xavier Castaneda had 11 points and seven rebounds for the Bulls (8-10, 4-8) while Caleb Murphy added 10 points.
