Orlando Magic forward Al-Farouq Aminu underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee, the team said on Wednesday.

The club said the procedure was necessary to reduce the continued swelling in Aminu's knee. A projected return date hasn't been set.

The 30-year-old Aminu sustained a torn meniscus in the knee during a game against the Toronto Raptors on Nov. 29, 2019. He underwent knee surgery on Jan. 7.

Aminu, who signed a three-year, $29.2 million contract with the Magic as a free agent in July of 2019, averaged 4.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 21.1 minutes in 18 games (two starts) prior to the injury.

Aminu has career averages of 7.6 points and 6.1 rebounds in 688 career games (431 starts) over 10 seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers, New Orleans Hornets/Pelicans, Dallas Mavericks, Portland Trail Blazers and Orlando.
