2020 Chinese Badminton Championships kicks off in Baoji.

BAOJI, China, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) -- Badminton elites from all across the country started their 2020 Chinese Badminton Championships campaign in Baoji city, China's northwest Shaanxi province here on Wednesday.

Over 600 players will participate in the tournament, including world champions Chen Long and Chen Qingchen. The championships feature seven events, namely the men's and women's singles, doubles and team events, as well as the mixed doubles.

According to the rules, the two team events winners will secure the No.1 seed position for the 14th China National Games in 2021.

In order to ensure the health of all players and attendances amid the COVID-19 pandemic, all the games will be played with no fans in attendance.

The tournament ends on November 10.
