BAMBANG, Nueva Vizcaya, July 15 (PIA) - The local government unit here recently opened its Municipal Isolation Unit (MIU) at barangay San Antonio South.
Dr. Edwin Galapon, provincial health officer and Provincial COVID-19 Task Force chairman said the isolation facility will cater to Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) and suspected cases.
The facility which is required for all MLGUs was funded through the Bayanihan To Heal as One Act fund for MLGUs.
"We also encourage other MLGUs to put up the same structure to cater to our suspected cases and PUMs in their respective communities," Galapon said.
He said the Department of Health (DOH) team is now visiting municipalities in the province to assess and evaluate their MIUs.
Mayor Pepito Balgos also said the isolation facility will be provided with full support from the municipal government so that it will serve its purpose of being a place for healing among COVID-19 suspected patients. (MDCT/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
