P.J. Walker passed for 306 yards and three touchdowns while hitting Cam Phillips on a 17-yard scoring strike in the fourth quarter Saturday as the Houston Roughnecks remained undefeated in XFL play with a 34-27 victory over the Tampa Bay Vipers.
James Butler rushed for 72 yards for the Roughnecks (3-0), while Walker added a rushing touchdown.
Taylor Cornelius passed for 193 yards and a touchdown for the Vipers (0-3), who surpassed the 12 combined points they scored in their opening two games. Quinton Flowers scored Tampa Bay's first-ever offensive touchdown on a 7-yard run in the second quarter.
